Grandma J.'s Visit

Grandma J. and cousin Patty came to visit for a few days.  The last time Grandma visited she ended up in ICU fighting for her life.  

 

This time was very different.  Yes, she's feeling MUCH better, now!

We all had a great time together!

                                         We took some pictures.......

 

We played on the beach.......

 

Some of us did some work.....

We ate marshmallows........

We played some games...........

        We watched some Lucille Ball, tried some new games, ate too much, laughed a lot, and just plain had a GREAT time! Hopefully we'll be able to do it all again very soon! We love ya, Grandma!

HAPPY GOTCHA DAY, ALANNA!

One year ago today our two worlds collided, and Alanna was finally home where she belongs!  FOREVER.

INTERNATIONAL TRAVELERS

We officially became international travelers with our last field trip of the school year to Victoria, Canada.


                                             Starting with an early morning ferry ride.......

We left the clouds behind in the U.S. .......

and arrived in beautiful Victoria, B.C.................

 

                                                  We had a group planning session.................

                           
                                         And headed off to see the sights......

                                                    Our first stop was the Craigdarroch Castle.

          The next stop was the Royal British Columbian Museum that held a wide variety of things to see.

   After eating dinner at the Spaghetti Factory (on the left), we finally got to the,  "best part of the whole trip".

 The whole reason for traveling across the border to another country. The hotel swimming pool, of course!

                                                     The next day we visited  the Bug Zoo,

                                    saw a Canadian Duck,

                                           a Canadian street corner protest,

                                            and posed for some more pictures.

                                  Then it was time to get back on the ferry for the long ride home.
