2012, OUR YEAR - SO FAR
Yesterday Doug jammed his ring finger while cutting firewood. Overnight, it swelled dangerously around his ring. After spending this afternoon in urgent care, he is now ringless!
The wedding ring that he's worn for thirty years was cut off by several nurses who seemed overly eager to use the "ring cutter". I can only assume they were concerned about his finger, too.
So Doug will start 2012 without his ring, but with all his fingers, so there's always something to be thankful for.
If we didn't serve a God who has everything under control we'd be a little nervous about what the next 364 days of the year will bring!
