A Stable Background (The Christmas Post)
This is
the day that we get to unwind from all the cooking, cleaning, shopping,
wrapping and stressing that we call celebrating the birth of our Savior, and finally
let the awesomeness of the gift that He is settle into our hearts.
This greatest of
all Gifts arrived in the most simple, lowly, basic package imaginable, a manger in a
stable.
"'The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel (which means 'God with us').'" Matthew 1:23 That is the true message of Christmas, GOD IS WITH US.
He brought our family through 2014 with the blessings of healing, homecoming, friends,
family, fellowship, encouragement, and hope.
The contagious Joy of the season works into the hearts of the Grinches and
Cratchits around us hoping they will get this message:
Even though we may originally
come from all different types of backgrounds we can share a common background in
Christ, a Stable Background.
