WELCOME HOME JENNA, THE GUINEA PIG!

At long last, Alanna is a proud Guinea Pig owner!  Thanks to her dedicated 4-H Leader, Cheryl, who found two special, show quality animals at a show in Minnesota, and flew them home for Alanna.  Unfortunately, the Guinea pigs missed their flight.  I'm not sure how that happens with Guinea pigs; I am picturing them lugging their little suitcases through the airport, but with their short little legs,  being unable to make it to the gate before the final boarding call.  This, of course, would be very stressful for anyone, so one of the little pigs is not eating or drinking, and we are very worried about her.  Cheryl is keeping her, for now, to try to nurse her back to health.  In the meantime, Little Jenna is getting a lot of lovin from Alanna, who knows only too well that building trust takes time and lots of love!

                                           Isn't she cute?  Actually, they're both kinda cute!

Five years ago, today, we got to hug our 9 year old daughter and 10 year old son for the first time.

WE SAW SCOTT!

He was in town with his mom watching a friend play football, and he called and wanted us to come and see him.  Of course we got down there as fast a we could.  Stephanie and Evonne are at a camp this weekend so they will be sorry they missed him.  I am satisfied that he is safe, and that mom is doing her best to be the mom he needs.  Emotionally he is seemed sad, withdrawn, and not the vibrant little man we remember.  He is finding his comfort in food and video games.  His mom says he talks about us a lot, and she said she will let him call us.  we miss him so much and I am pretty sure it goes both ways.

 

This was the little boy who left us 17 months ago.

TYLER'S PROJECT

Tyler is the proud owner of a 1964 Volkswagen Bug, that just happened to spend the last 20 years sleeping in the woods.   While people are never beyond hope, some things are....
This was my Grandfather's car.  I remember when he bought it, new (which of course must have been before I was born because I can't be that old).  Anyway, with Tyler's love for all things German, he is determined to get some life back into the poor old girl.  Who knows, with A LOT of hard work, determination, and money (he's going to need a job).........................
