More Scott Time!

Scott was here, again, Saturday and Sunday.

We played games and watched a few movies,

but a whole lot of time was spent on pumpkin carving.

It all took a lot of focus and concentration.

I was even able to get a few pictures without them even noticing.

I'm not sure if Rickey was bored or amused by it all.

Tyler, David said you would know what this is.

 There was a Subaru logo,

the monster from Where the Wild Things are,

 Spider-man, Captain America,

and even the old standby Jack o lantern.

Yep, this was definitely worth all the watering, weeding and
space in the garden to grow these things.

Five Years and Three Months!

That is how long it has been since this young man has been in our home.......

He's bigger, he's older (13), and he's wiser, but he's still the same old Scott.  This visit was an answer to prayer for all of us.  We love ya, Scotty boy, and we'll see you again, soon.

For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition that I made to him. 1 Samuel 1:27

Happy 11th Birthday, Scott!

It's been almost three years, but we still miss you, love, you, and keep you in our prayers, daily. There will always be a Scott sized hole in our family, but we will always cherish our time we had with you.  We look forward to sending you birthday and Christmas packages and welcome any other contact you need with us. We will ALWAYS love you, Little Man!

WE SAW SCOTT!

He was in town with his mom watching a friend play football, and he called and wanted us to come and see him.  Of course we got down there as fast a we could.  Stephanie and Evonne are at a camp this weekend so they will be sorry they missed him.  I am satisfied that he is safe, and that mom is doing her best to be the mom he needs.  Emotionally he is seemed sad, withdrawn, and not the vibrant little man we remember.  He is finding his comfort in food and video games.  His mom says he talks about us a lot, and she said she will let him call us.  we miss him so much and I am pretty sure it goes both ways.

This was the little boy who left us 17 months ago.

Happy 9th Birthday, Scott

Today is Scott's 9th birthday.  He spent his last three birthdays with us so we are really missing him, today! We were able to send him a card to let him know that we are thinking of him.  I talked with his CASA worker a few weeks ago.  She is still seeing him about once a month and said that they have been able to move out of the halfway house into an apartment.  She said that Scott seems much happier and is doing better at school since they moved.  We'll just keep praying for him to hang in there.

Jesus, Friend of Sinners by Casting Crowns

Jesus, friend of sinners, we have strayed so far away
We cut down people in your name but the sword was never ours to swing
Jesus, friend of sinners, the truth's become so hard to see
The world is on their way to You but they're tripping over me
Always looking around but never looking up I'm so double minded
A plank eyed saint with dirty hands and a heart divided

Oh Jesus, friend of sinners
Open our eyes to the world at the end of our pointing fingers
Let our hearts be led by mercy
Help us reach with open hearts and open doors
Oh Jesus, friend of sinners, break our hearts for what breaks yours http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9Kcm2OAWNA
