The 4th of July
What are the odds? Another sunny 4th of July in the PNW!
The sunshine and low tide made for some good times on the beach,
oyster gathering, grilling, and eating,
Tattooing,
and just spending a lazy day together.
Instead of waiting for the fireworks, we opted to go home and make sure the animals were fed on time have some screen time.
It was just nice to all be together, or were we?

Really? Sunshine on the 4th of July?
Around here, regardless of what the calender says, we just don't expect our summer to start until after the 4th of July. Our 4th of July is almost always WET. This year we had a miracle. Yes, SUNSHINE!
Here's one for the photo album, a picture of Doug sitting down.
This is the cheap, safe (but sticky) version of fireworks, the volatile mixture of diet cola and Mentos.

July 4th 2010
Since I was a little under the weather, Mandy was in charge of most of the photography for the day. The following is a sample of some of the 432 pictures she snapped.
While waiting for the big fireworks show we:
Did Mandy's hair
Braided our hair together
Set off colorful smoke bombs.
